I´ve got the TS from last year too.
I think this is a great luge for nearly the most snow tracks.
Probably the last years Edition was to near to the S.

The Difference to the new one is the Racing rail with 5mm and the black seat
and the Rodelführer Edition has a 10m radius, the standard Torggler TS has 12m.

It´s my first proper Sled, but meanwhile it´s not the only one.
This sled ist nimble and fast, i think it´s the best you can buy for this price.
The T has 18° and the S 25°, so the TS is between the two.

Yes i did. My fist intention was to look for a second hand rodel. Last summer Torggler had a second hand S120. But the shipping costs where € 70 to the Netherlands !!!.

Webmaster schrieb: To be honest, I didn't really understand why Torggler came up with the TS, although the TS is a great Rodel. But it is very close to the T and to the S. That's why I ordered from Torggler our Special rodelfuehrer.de Edition with 10m Radius. The difference betweeen 12m and 10m is enormous. Eva gave Torggler her 12m Sportrodel to change it to 10m, and it became a completely new Rodel. The S and T runs very good on straight Rodelbahnen, a 10 and 8m Radius Rodel just waits for a hairpin curve (no this is not a bad translation from a German term to English
)

So you're saying that the 10m radius is better in the corners than a standard S ?
I still haven't figured it out what you mean with radius exactly. But this is what i think of it. A 10 m radius has a more curved rail ( schiene ) than a 12 m. So when you displace your weight to go trough a corner more pressure is going to the middle and thus its esier to steer.
Arrg i got so much to learn yet.

Maybe you should organise a test weekend !

any chance in getting a few day's earlier to the Wildkogel long distance race ?

sorry, I haven´t realised that the shipping costs to the Netherlands are so high. But the question is how offen you sled in winter to buy such a sledge? Does it make sense? For me from Petting (don´t laugh because of the name of this town) it is no problem to reach the mountains, but for you...? Please don´t understand me in the wrong way.

Marco, will you still be at Wildkogel the 1st of February? Why not having a little trip a few days before the race

You have a good point. The same question had haunted me for a few years. I can only go one or maybe two weeks a year. But after renting one for five years now i can say i have outgrown the rental rodel. Thats why i now bought my own rodel.

2 weeks rodel-holiday every winter is fine.
If you want to experience the difference between a more rounded radius and your TS, you can do it by putting some layers of duct-tape (Gewebeband) between the Schiene and the Kufe.
Put the Torggler on a flat surface, then you see where the schiene touches the ground. At this point you start with the layers, 3 or 4 layers will be enough. Stick them to the Schiene, not to the Kufe. Start with 30cm stripes , then getting shorter, down to 10cm. So you have a more rounded rocker. (If you screw the schiene firmly to the Kufe) Normally this will be slower on the straights and have less grip in the corners, but its easier to steer in tight corners. The effect will be more noticeable on a hard snow track than on soft snow.
I think if you already have one good rodel, its better to buy more pairs of schienen than another rodel.
